Databases:
Dynamic Searchable Database, the database is made up of thousands of publicly accessible documents, about 500 times more than the surface web. Each search query generates a dynamically (on-the-spot) webpage specific to the search. These web pages/documents are not able to be crawled by the surface web search engines.
Strengths:
Huge database of information available per search that is not available while searching the surface web.
Can search using, “All of These Words”, “As a Phrase”, “Any of These Words”, “Boolean Search Query” via a dropdown menu next to the search window on the first page.
Uses a “browse tree” to search by clicking on a drop down link to search within a specific subject. The outer branches are the most general topics and the farther you travel within the more specific the subject becomes.
Does not include adult content on their database
Can Search any file type
Can search in any language
Weaknesses:
Contains a sponsored ad by Google once your search results appear.

Advanced Search Features:
The initial drop down menu that included the ability to search “All of these words”, “as a phrase” etc… is also available as a search parameter for Document Title, Document Keyword, and Document Description.

Can list 10 to 100 results per page.
Although a very extensive search of documents is available the ads for BrightPlanet – a paid search engine, litter the site. Within your search results there are ads for not only BrightPlanet but google search engines as well.
